CBD

One of the active compounds in the cannabis plant, refers to the entire plant family that includes hemp. Within the hemp plant is something called cannabinoids. There are over 100 different cannabinoids in the hemp plant. Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is the compound in cannabis that is psychoactive & gives you the feeling of being high. However, THC’s chemical makeup is very similar to its counterpart, CBD, which actually combats the effects of THC. Under the 2018 Farm Bill, CBD is legal and available for use in all 50 states! Local regulations may affect the availability and use of CBD and related cannabinoids. CBD offers many benefits that vary from person to person. Learn More About CBD
What is CBD?

Cannabidiol, or CBD is a cannabinoid found naturally in the cannabis plant, more commonly known as hemp. CBD does not contain THC, another compound in the hemp plant, which is responsible for the high typically associated with consuming cannabis. Because of this, the consumer can enjoy the calming, euphoric effects of the plant without the high.

What is a Cannabinoid?

Terpenes are a group of compounds found in nature responsible for the aromas, flavors, and colors associated with them. These compounds are commonly found in plants and specific animals. While they are present in almost all plants, terpenes in cannabis are responsible for the specific smells or tastes of different strains. While terpenes are not intoxicating or will get you high, a few are considered psychoactive due to their effect on the brain. Some preliminary research suggests that specific terpenes could have positive health benefits for mental health conditions such as anxiety or depression.

Is CBD Legal?

Under the 2018 Farm Bill, CBD is legal and available in all 50 states! By federal law, CBD must contain no more than 0.3% tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). In ordinance with these laws, our CBD products include 0.3% or less THC. Local regulations may affect the availability and use of CBD and related cannabinoids.

Will CBD show up on a Drug Test?

Most standard drug tests look to detect specific metabolites in the body created when a person consumes THC. While these tests do not detect cannabinol or CBD, if a person consumes a product with low or trace amounts of THC, they may fail the drug test. With there being several variations to take into account from person to person, we are not able to provide a definitive answer. Read here to learn more about how drug tests and cannabinoids work.

Do you get high from CBD?

CBD naturally contains low amounts of THC and, in some cases, none. CBD is derived from the hemp plant, which naturally lacks THC, the compound that causes psychoactive effects or a ‘high’ when consumed. A person will not get high consuming CBD.
