Initially popularized were CBD extractions for public use; however, the F.D.A. does not recognize hemp/cannabis extract to be fit for human consumption. This puts hemp compounds in a bit of a gray area, allowing states to decide on how to regulate them. Many states, such as Florida, have dedicated agricultural divisions specifically for monitoring and regulating hemp commerce. Other cannabinoids since this “boom” have emerged such as Delta-8, HHC, THC-O, THC-P, Delta-10, and more to come.
